Oscar Wilde once said: “Experience is simply the name we give our mistakes.”
Chris Roe has certainly made a lot of experiences. And, after twenty years of doing so within ad agencies of every shape and size, he has learned invaluable lessons from those experiences and established himself as an accomplished and awarded art director, creative director and up-andcoming film director. Chris has worked from coast to coast including time in San Francisco at Goodby/Silverstein & Partners running the Chevy Silverado account where he led the brand to its first top ten Super Bowl commercial in decades. In between coasts he spent his years at DDB, Chicago, primarily as VP/Creative Director for the Bud Light account where his work consistently earned a wide range of global awards including back-to-back Grand Prix Cannes Lions as well as a steady streak of top ten Super Bowl commercials.
Chris most recently spent time as VP/Creative Director and director for Onion Labs, the branded and native content division of The Onion, overseeing, creating, and directing work across the digital landscape for Fortune 500 companies to some companies so small you’ve probably never heard of them.
So, as Groucho Marx once said: “The secret to life is honesty and fair dealing. If you can fake that, you’ve got it made.”
